The Department of Education (DepEd) had commissioned the USeP Teacher Training and Research Center (TTRC) to conduct an evaluation on the Multifactored Analysis Tool (MFAT). The tool, whose primary aim is to screen the educational needs of learners, also aims to identify their strengths and difficulties. The result of the evaluation would eventually assist teachers in the instructional planning and placement of learners.

USeP, the TTRC in particular, was tasked to: (1) encode and consolidate the MFAT responses per item; (2) provide interpretations of results for identified data points; (3) review appropriateness of MFAT activities, language of instruction, test procedures, and time of administration; (4) provide feedback on the standardization of materials; (5) review the validity of the test items; and (6) prepare a technical report with recommendations for the finalization of the tool.

The technical report was presented during the workshop for the finalization of the MFAT conducted by DepEd on August 28-September 1, 2017 at the AA Plaza Hotel, Puerto Princesa City. Dr. Edna H. Jalotjot and Dr. Adora P. Zerrudo,
