USeP inks MOU with 11 Asian universities

With its vision to become a premier university in the ASEAN Region, the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) participated in the 16th Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF) held on November 21-23, 2017 at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Manila.


The University, represented by its Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva, grabbed the opportunity to establish partnerships with other Asian universities. Eleven (11) universities immediately signed a Memorandum of Understanding with USeP, promising a promotion of the exchange of students, faculty, and researchers, conduct of joint research activities, and organize joint international research conferences among others. The partnerships forged were composed of five (5) national and six (6) international universities, namely: Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, Camarines Sur; Camarines Norte State College, Camarines Norte; Saint Mary’s University, Nueva Vizcaya; Bulacan State University, Bulacan; Mountain Province State Polytechnic College, Mountain Province; Asia University, Japan; Northern University, Bangladesh; Dongseo University, South Korea; Daffodil International University, Bangladesh; National University of Management, Cambodia; and Chaoshan College, China.


Over 150 representatives of universities from the Philippines, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and South Korea also participated in the three-day AUPF to discuss innovative solutions to education problems, engage in research works in various discipline, and establish and strengthen networks and linkages among Asian universities.  (USeP PR)
