February 15, 2019- The families of the seminarians of St. Francis de Sales Theological Seminary gathered together for the Annual celebration of the Family Day aimed at highlighting the importance of one’s family in the discernment and support of priestly vocation.

This year’s celebration coincides with the Annual Music Festival which highlighted the event during the evening. Seminarians were grouped accordingly and each gave their own rendition of the songs from their different original versions. Table 1 emerged as the third place with their Novelty version of “I Love You 123”; Table 2 bagged the second place with their acoustic version of “Totoy Bibo”; Table 3 emerged as the champion with their winning piece — Rock version of “Crazy For You”.

A Videoke Challenge was also had. This was participated by the members of the families of seminarians. Ms. Chassy Mae De Leon, sister of Sem. Godofredo D. De Leon, Jr. earned the third place; Ms. Nica Solis, sister of Sem. Michael Vincent D. Solis got the second place; Ms. Blessy De Leon, also a sister of Sem. Godofredo emerged as the first place.

Reflecting on the theme of the celebration, “Anakikong Pamilya Pinagbubuklod ng Iba’t Ibang Uri ng Musika”, Rev. Fr. Dale Anthony Barreto-Ko shares the pivotal role of each family members in the seminary formation. In his closing remarks, the Rector, Rev. Fr. Rustam C. Sabularse reflects on the analogy of the nature of a music with different notes and sounds in creating a harmony as akin to that of seminarians’ families.
