MSEUF Engineering student wins National Award

Fifth year Civil Engineering student Rhaymundo de Jesus Jr. of the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation in Lucena City was conferred 2014 Most Outstanding Civil Engineering Student of the Philippines (MOCES) 1st Runner-Up by the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) during its 17th National Civil Engineering Students’ Conference at Ibalong Centrum for Recreation Center, Legazpi City, Albay on November 13-15.

PICE informed that De Jesus was on the short-list of fifteen students from the different Engineering Colleges and Universities in the Philippines. Finalists were selected through screening and panel interview with the criteria based on student’s academic performance, leadership and involvement in PICE student chapter’ activities, community service and writing essay.

Awarding took place during the Professional Civil Engineers’ Fellowship Night where engineering student from DLSU-Manila was declared MOCES 2014 while de Jesus of MSEUF-Lucena and other engineering student from St. Mary’s University in Nueva Vizcaya emerged first and second runners-up respectively. The finalists were given plaques, certificates, and cash incentives.
