Ago Medical and Education Center, Legazpi City is accredited by TESDA and offers Technical and Vocational Education Programs (TVET) granted by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

AMEC-BCCM guarantees that they are not offering sub-standard courses in fact their graduates possess the competencies required of the job. It aims to address equity access by providing direct financial assistance to deserving TVET enrollees. The Regular Scholarship programs is granted through the Training-for-Workshop (TWSP) and the Private Education and Student Financial Assistance (PESPA).

Through College education is real essential, however, the Technical Vocational Education (TVET) is also offering enhanced technical courses. The scholarship program Food and Beverage Service NCII was held last March 27 until April 27, 2017. The Training-for-Workshop (TWSP) benefited 25 scholars intended only for students from Legazpi City and Daraga, Albay. This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitude in FBS NC II in accordance with existing policies and it covered the competencies on cleaning bar areas, operating a bar, preparing and mixing of cocktails, providing link between kitchen and service areas, providing room service, developing and updating food and beverage knowledge and providing wine service. It covers the basic, common and core competencies. The training was successfully facilitated by the trainer for Food and Beverage Services NCII, Ms. Jonisa Lovendino together with the TESDA Coordinator, Ms. Rhiza Aperin. These AMEC TESDA Scholars got a 100% passing rate in National Assessment scheduled on June 5, 2016 at the HRM Laboratory assessed by Mr. Noel Cedeña, a representative from TESDA. With the achievement, AMEC-BCCM was greatly honored and dishtinguished.

As one of the scholars of TWSP expressed, “I want to thank Ma’am Lovendino for her patience in teaching us the things we need to know. Her passion and dedication for her job, inspires us and help us in our training to be an NC II eligible”

It was indeed a success of AMEC to produce graduates who possess the competencies required of the job.
