Dr. Olalia Jr. Presents Research in International IT Confabs

Dr. Romulo L. Olalia Jr., Dean of the College of Information and Computing Sciences, San Carlos College, attended the 4th International Conference on Industrial and Business Engineering (ICIBE 2018) at the University of Macau held last October 24 – 26, 2018. Where he presented his research, “ Security Assessment of Brute-Force attack to Subset Sum-Based Verifiable Secret Sharing Scheme.”

Researchers and IT Professionals from all over the world were present in the conference. ICBE 2018 aims to bring together researchers, scientist, engineers, and student scholars to exchange their experiences, new ideas, and research results on all aspects of Industrial and Business Engineering, and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.

Dr. Olalia’s research has been included in the ICIBE 2018 which will be published in International Conference Proceedings Series by ACM, and archived in the ACM Digital Library and indexed by EI Compendex and Scopus.

Prior to this, Dr. Olalia also attended the 14th International Conference on Computing and Information Technology (IC2IT 2018) at the Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand held last July 5 – 6, 2018. He also presented a research paper, “ Subset sum-based verifiable secret sharing scheme for multiparty computation”. His research paper will be published in Springer and indexed by Scopus.

The IC2IT2018 was organized by King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Council of IT Deans of Thailand (CITT) and partner institutions from Thailand and abroad.
