School Summary

The University of the Immaculate Conception (also referred as UIC Filipino: Pamantasang Imaculada Conception) is a private Roman Catholic university run by the Religious of the Virgin Mary (RVM) in Davao City. It started in 1905 as a parochial school, “St. Peter’s Parochial School” with only the primary and intermediate courses offered. It has three campuses, the Fr. Selga campus (which houses various programs that includes Information Technology, Nursing, Medical Technology, Music, Nutrition and Dietetics, Pharmacy and also the Graduate School), the Bonifacio campus (which houses various programs that includes Business and Governance, Engineering, Education, Liberal Arts), and lastly Bajada campus (which houses the grade school and high school units, respectively).

UIC NEWS | Scholarship Assistance for PUJ Beneficiaries

As a part of CHED’s “Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) for the High Priority Bus System Project of the City Government of Davao”, a beneficiary of a PUJ Driver will be given a four-year scholarship with a Php 7,500 per semester cash assistance. This will amount to Php 15,000 cash assistance per school year.

A PUJ’s beneficiary of this program can be up to the 4th Civil Degree of Consanguinity and Affinity and should be a currently enrolled college student and not a recipient of any other government scholarships. 

If you are qualified to avail such scholarship, here are the following requirements that you should compile and submit:

1. Certificate of Eligibility (Issued by CSSDO)
2. Certificate of Good Standing / Good Moral Character & Report Card / Transcript of Records (Issued by current school)
3. PSA Birth Certificate
4. Marriage Contract (if the beneficiary is the spouse)
5. Affidavit that declares the beneficiary having no other government scholarship/s.

The deadline for the submission of requirements will be on March 25, 2020, until 4:30 pm. Failure to submit on time will not be honored by the scholarship office.

Due to the recurring earthquakes, the University has found it necessary to postpone or cancel school events scheduled this week. Please take note of the following:.

• Basic Education Classes will resume on January 6, 2020, and exams will be on January 7 and 8, 2020.

• College Exams will be rescheduled on January 6, 7, and 8, 2020. Faculty may come to work on their pending tasks from 8 am to 5 pm only.

• Sponsorship of Misa de Gallo will push through as scheduled.

• Support Service Personnel and In-house maintenance personnel shall report until Monday, December 23, 2019. All offices will be opened for transactions. Resumption of duties will be on January 3, 2020.

As #ONEUIC, let us all pray for the safety and protection of everyone from the recurring earthquakes.
