Project ‘BESt-A’ to promote competence among CAPABLE Louisians
by Edinickson A. Libed

The Elementary department conducted an elimination round of the Project “Building Effective Student Ambassadors” (BESt-A) last September 27, 2019 in the department’s Science Laboratory.

Project BESt-A aims to: (1) train pupils to have good command in using the English language; (2) serve as an avenue for pupils in organizing activities; (3) equip pupils with relevant skills in assisting guests and visitors during special events; and (4) foster the development of pupils’ language competence and fluency.

This project shall likewise encourage and influence CAPABLE Louisians to become effective communicators as they embrace opportunities in using the universal language inside and outside of the University.

Pupils from grades 3-6 who partook in the said search were interviewed by the English and Foreign language teachers. The aspirant pupils had to answer random questions to check their fluency and command of the language.

Qualified pupils are expected to act as ushers during the conduct of different events in the department.

This project is spearheaded by the English and Foreign Language area of the department.

CAPABLE is moniker and acronym for the goal for the pupils to become Christ-centered, Action-directed, Person-oriented, Academically driven, Behaviorally upright, Law-abiding, and Emotionally mature. #CAPABLE #USLPhilippines
