As much as we miss the energy and optimism of our students, we believe it is not yet safe for you to return. We would be very much happy to have you back and continue your journey. However, we agree that it is for the students’ best interest that we do NOT open classes earlier than August. We hope for your understanding and we wish you are all safe and well with your families at home. Please stay tuned for updates. Follow our official social media pages where we will share first-hand news on the opening of classes, different ways to enroll, and the learning systems we will adopt for this year.In the meantime, stay home, stay safe, smile, and continue to believe we will overcome this crisis.#SasamahanKita

To Our Dear Students and Parents,During this pandemic, PHINMA Education has followed two principles: (1) the importance of the health and safety of all our students, teachers, and employees, and (2) keeping our promise to all our students to provide quality education, regardless of difficulty. We miss our community. We miss the energy and optimism of our students. We miss our teachers and operations group members. But we do not yet believe it is safe for you to return. The number of confirmed infections continues to remain high. We are also worried about a spike after lockdowns are lifted. As much as we would like to have you back to continue with your education journey, we agree with many experts that it would NOT be best to open classes earlier than August. Moreover, we understand the difficulty of developing new ways of learning in a world pulled apart by social distancing. Instead of rushing to start school, we are working hard to ensure that our campuses are safe and clean. We are reorganizing classes to maximize the time you can remain safely at home, maintain safe physical distance while in school, and still prepare you for your chosen profession. We also do not believe online learning is the only solution as we recognize that not all students and homes are equipped for this. Our priority is to develop a system of independent learning that blends with face-to-face instruction. We have always believed in the power of active learning. We need to find ways to support - not replace - your own ability to think and learn independently. Please stay tuned for updates. Follow our official social media pages where we will share first-hand news on the opening of classes, different ways to enroll, and the learning systems we will adopt for this year.In the meantime, stay home, stay safe, smile, and continue to believe we will overcome this crisis. Many thanks.Chito B. “We are blessed when someone thanks the nurses as we do our jobs. This was not the battle we signed up for, but we are fighting regardless. We have chosen selflessness over self-preservation. Every time we put on our scrubs, we choose to serve and care even though the mere act of caring for people may put ourselves and our loved ones at risk. We need your cooperation and ask for self-discipline. I encourage everyone to pray to our Lord God Almighty who is sovereign and in control. May God bless us all!”––Dana Mae Cayabyab
BS Nursing, Batch 2016Dana Mae Cayabyab is a BSN alumna from PHINMA AU batch 2016. She’s also a Senior Staff Nurse at the Neonatal/ Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center Inc. where the hospital motto is “Exceptional People, Extraordinary Care.”Dana thinks that her role as a nurse is special because she has to be with another person during his/her moments of vulnerability. And this requires a special type of selflessness and strength on the nurse’s part.Dana says that nursing is a calling; that it is essential, impactful, and rewarding. She thinks there’s a reason why healthcare delivery is often referred to in terms of war metaphors. They are “in the trenches” and “on the frontlines of care.” They “go into battle” and if they’re lucky, they “emerge unscathed”. She, however, feels that with Covid19, there’s a lot of emotional and physical scars for health workers like her.Enroll Nursing @PHINMAEd now!
